KP's new single, "Cherry", was finally released on Friday17 October to the delight of fans everywhere!
The song was first aired live at the Market Hotel show in August but disappointingly didn't appear on the Girl Violence album, despite quickly becoming a fan favourite. However we can rest assured that it will probably become a firm fixture on her upcoming live show setlists!

One thing I see over and over again, for so many artists, is the temporary ephemeral nature of online media and articles. I hate clicking on something I really want to read, and seeing something like THIS is highly annoying:

At the end of the show, she "died' during RipKP by drinking a concoction with rat poison, at the hands of her arch-nemesis, Cherry, and had to be carted off stage by sexy nurses in drag.
Her life (and resurrection?) will be celebrated at her Bazongas album launch show on 6 June!

Early in the morning we all got some interesting texts:
Today, early PST time, KP announced on Instagram that she would be throwing a surprise show in New York. On the discord, she posted she opened up 300 tickets for the Market Hotel venue:
"The people's (King) Princess has announced a last minute underplay in her very own hometown of Brooklyn, NY. Who knows what surprises the night will bring... "

It is suspected that the broadcast will be livestreamed on HULU, we will be keeping a very close eye to make sure that is preserved if so.
Following a surprise announcement on Instagram, KP appeared at 3 of Hugh's live shows at Radio City Music Hall this week, playing "If You Think It's Love" as a solo song and a duet with Hugh, a cover of Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe".
There is an as yet unidentified song she performed while she was wearing a floral suit, we only have a brief snippet of that.

Ever since I found out about KP playing Glasto in 2019, I wanted to watch it. But the livestreams on BBC 1 Iplayer have been down for years, and even when they were up, you couldn't watch unless you lived in the UK or portions of Europe. Highly frustrating.
For a brief time back in 2019 however, almost all of the 2019 Glasto performances WERE online for view, and some dedicated preservationists / archivists / tapers / bootleggers ripped them for history and shared to Sharemania. This was where I first read about it existing. Very few people downloaded KP at the time though, they just weren't as into her as they were other artists.

| We can see from here that the HD lost media file was originally 1.71 gigs and 720p. So the current file we found today is a lower quality, but at the bare minimum preserves it for now until I can purchase the full HD direct from the B B C archives in England. |
Thrilled to say I finally discovered KP's lost Glastonbury 2019 set in FULL and on the SURFACE WEB no less.... on a Chinese version of Youtube (?!) uncensored too!
SUPER STOKED... please enjoy! Using a video ripper, I've extracted the files in 480p from the Chinese site. The audio is very crisp and clear for what it is, and I can't wait to actually chop that up into a workable album.
Part of the reason I suspect I was unable to find this before today; was that I was always searching for the exact title or associated words, always running "king princess glastonbury 2019" through search engines and such. But it wasn't listed under those keywords, and that's how it's stayed hidden.

This Chinese youtube site Bilibili, got pretty creative. Instead of saying it was Glastonbury at any point, they simply titled this video as, "the full premiere of King Princess's latest performance!" And the date was July 2019... and the timestamps went as far as 46:58.... and we know from the previous research and the official BBC player website the performance is right exactly at 47 minutes or so. So this was what started to get me super excited that we might indeed be on the right path to tracking this video down.

What a treat to find something this rare online!
King Princess performed at the yearly Pride festival in LA State Historic Park on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, opening for the legendary Mariah Carey.
Unfortunately due to my living under a rock at that time I was unable to attend this show and boot it myself, however the absolute legend that is this guy recorded it in FLAC quality for the world to enjoy!
